What do you think about facing the sea? Do you think about the meaning of your life? For my part, facing a raging sea, it brings up all the fury that inhabits me. The strongest are those linked to the injustices of this world. There they are no longer waves, they are tsunamis that rise to my lips, my heart rises and it breaks through my eyes.

Facing the sea, I sometimes think that on the other side of the sea there are other inhabitants, other ways of life, other dreams and that despite the sea or the oceans that separate us, we are one and the same humanity.
Faced with the raging sea and the rubbish it carries, I wonder what we have done with our planet. Are we condemned to be nothing more than polluters, producers of waste, interconnected with each other?

Then, the coming and going of the sea produces its calming effect, my thoughts are soothed. I think back to all the good times I had with you, here and there, on the beaches of India, Morocco or Italy. I think back to those marvellous sunsets we have witnessed, to those sunrises, to our endless walks on the fine sand.
I think back to the fishermen who go to sea in Kochi or Perumpally in their frail boats. I think of the blue boats of Essaouira and then I think that we could do really better with all these wonders.

I hope that soon we will be able to draw inspiration from the treasures that nature offers us to live a little more in harmony.
