« One day, one elsewhere » ends with the deconfinement in France. Let’s now move on to « One day, one discovery » which will, I hope, be an opportunity to discover new horizons for 2021… close to home! January 1st being in 32 days, this article is therefore D-32.

On Sunday afternoon, the dreariness outside heralds the first frosts of winter. It is almost the end of the year. Enjoy a cup of tea, curled up in the warmth of the sofa. A chai tea?

Or a green tea with yuzu and cardamom?

An extremely fine tea brought back from Kerala?

Or an organic sencha tea – vitality with the good taste of summer?

Buds of a royal white tea from Thailand?

Or Bancha green tea from Japan? In both cases, the sublime pale colour of the tea once infused does not bode well for the sweet and delicate flavour that develops in the mouth.

An exotic fruity tea with a good taste of passion, which never leaves one indifferent?

Or a silky, finely ground tea so finely that it exhales a thousand smells? This one was sent by a friend from Kerala, Arjun. Just by seeing it, he immediately transports it to the tea plantations of the Wayanad.

A tea flavored with spices like Christmas in Jaipur or with the sweet scent of cherries and almonds like Christmas in Tokyo? A thousand and one flavours and scents for a great trip around the world.

Or a more classic tea, such as Earl Grey Superior with blueberries and delicate notes of Sicilian bergamot? An aroma so powerful that it can take you to the South of the Boot in just a few minutes. And finally, what could be better appreciated, with a good book in hand at the beginning of winter, than a good cup of tea?

Suddenly feel like going to the little shop in the rue Daguerre at l’Autre Thé to do some shopping and chat over tea. The shop window alone is already a real invitation to travel.

Enter the cave where we take the time to taste and talk to each other. Here, we discover tea in all its diversity, while being bathed in a monochrome of colours and delicious smells.

Coming home satisfied after having taken the time to talk with a charming specialist, with arms full of pretty boxes that you can have filled endlessly… That’s also the pleasure of small local shops!
