Take bus line 728 from the small village of Badesi towards Santa Teresa de Gallura. Walk along the coast and be amazed at the number of small coves along the way. Arriving an hour later in the medieval town of Castelsardo. As soon as you disembark in the village square, you will be amazed by the view of the fishing port below, under a dazzling sun.

Take the maze of more or less shady streets which, from the cliff, offer you a breathtaking view of the harbour of Porto Frigianu.

Admire the prickly pear trees that stand out in the foreground against the blue Mediterranean background.

Contemplate the small Torre di Frigianu that has stood watch at the entrance to the port for centuries.

Climb and get lost in the narrow streets of the upper town. To emerge at the top of the promontory and finally indulge in the pleasure of contemplation. The blue seats are set up for the show in perfect harmony with the ultramarine blue sea.

Let yourself go in reverie when you see a sailboat passing just between the modern terrace and the campanile from the beginning of the 14th century, as a link between modernity and the past.

To be seized by the beauty of this bell tower, covered with coloured majolica tiles, emerging from the traditional tiled roofs . It is midday at the bell tower which stands out like a lighthouse on the navy blue as far as the eye can see.

Stroll a little on the fortress walls and then, lying in the gardens of the Castello dei Doria, enjoy the caress of the sun. Let yourself go for a little nap.

To be ecstatic in front of the immensity of the blue sky and the sea.

Be amazed by the buttresses of the 12th century fortifications which deliciously resist time.

Be completely dazzled by the infinite variations of blue tones, from turquoise to dark navy, from azure blue to smalt blue. There’s something for everyone.

At the end of the afternoon, quietly reach the small fishing port.

Cut a bib with some fishermen and enjoy the view of the perched citadel. Be enthusiastic about the small medieval town, which in a monochrome of ochre tones, clings to the rock of the fortress.

To think that, decidedly, this world is full of beautiful surprises and that it is full of Esperanza!
