One day, one elsewhere n° 5

This morning, go out for an iodised walk on the harbour. Cross the Place Orson Wells and revel in the unique blue sky. Take a deep breath of sea air as you approach the harbour.

Admire for a moment the flight of the seagulls above the fishermen.

Climb up to the Skala of the port to gain a little height and see that the city in the distance is still as beautiful and majestic facing the ocean.

Rejoice as you look at the boats in a blue reminiscent of the peaceful, cloudless Essaouira sky.

Appreciate the work of the painters who over the years struggle against the elements, so that the boats always merge with the sustained blue sky.

To be moved for a moment on the dangers incurred by fishermen, because the sea has its moods.

Letting oneself slide into the life that settles in and starts quietly on the quays, with the return of the fishermen.

Sitting there savouring the passing of time watching the men returning after a good catch and preparing to return to earth. Then, just like them, decide to go back, through the small alleys and, having fun, to see that the blue souiri has conquered the city, far beyond the port. But that’s another story…
