One day, one elsewhere n° 15

Every day, find a relaxed morning to keep an open mind on the world, by subscribing to the blog, just click on the blue banner at the bottom of the article!

Freshly landed in Delhi, get lost in the crowd in front of the Red Fort and take the time to admire the architectural masterpiece.

You will soon feel at home in the midst of this colourful crowd.

Isolate yourself for a moment and find peace and quiet.

Then, very quickly, to find the crowds that spring up from everywhere.

From sunrise to sunset, immerse yourself in the heart of this varied and colourful people.

Take a stroll through Old Delhi towards the great Jama Masjid mosque and be amazed to find that it can hold up to 25,000 people.

Go down the stairs and plunge back into the crowd. Let yourself be carried away by the movement.

Go and meditate in a Sikh temple in the middle of the day and discover that it is full of people.

A few days later, watch a group of women marching down the streets of Pushkar.

Notice that the crowd is dense.

Jump up, step out and merge into the perpetual movement like a waltz of colours that carries you away, carries you away and makes your head spin.

Sit for a moment by the fire to enjoy a chapati and exchange a few smiles with the cook.

A little further along in the journey, get lost in the whirlwind of bright colours of the Jodhpur market.

Stroll at the foot of the Clock Tower, illuminated with flashy colours, and really get a taste for it. To flush out the tea and spice merchant who seemed to be nowhere to be found and to rejoice at having found him in the midst of such a multitude.

Yet another day, in the midst of a colourful human cloud, marvel at the work of the 20,000 workers and 10,000 elephants who took part in the construction of the Taj Mahal.

Walking into the heart of the multitude and once again feeling like you belong.

To be dazzled by so many colours and, through the moving crowd, to catch a glimpse of the famous monument in all its whiteness, but that’s another story.
