Imaginary, culinary, sensory or cultural journeys… We portray the landscape, the character, the context… it’s up to you to dream and imagine what happens next…

Walking along the sea on the Avenue Mohamed V, you are sure to come across them every day. Amine, as we will call him, is there from dawn, always present on the great promenade to admire the sea. His gaze carries far and wide and scans the horizon, the comings and goings of the boats and the dance of the birds on the water.

Every morning, Amine arrives from his village on the Sidi Kaouki side. He sets up his little stall, adorns it with an orange waxed cloth and then carefully arranges the colourful, fleshy and vitamin-packed fruits. Amine is attentive to the beauty of the stall, he decorates it with orange peels that he adjusts in a clever alignment. He is as attentive to the health of the walkers as he treats himself to the best juices. Juicy oranges and pomegranates are on the menu!

A few metres away from there, we meet another street vendor every day. Let’s call him Samir. Samir is motorised. He crosses the countryside every day from Irahalene and along the way, he comes across the many goats cascading in the argan trees along the road. When he arrives in Essaouira, he drops off his wife who works at the argan oil cooperative in the Medina, then he comes to settle on the seafront.

Throughout the day, he regales passers-by with enchanting smoothies and super vitamins. Here the fruit never lacks sunshine. Samir has invested in competition equipment and can concoct your dream smoothie in two steps and three movements.

Just like his neighbour Amine, between two clients, he contemplates the sea and the fishing boats manoeuvring to return to the port right before his astonished eyes.

And of course our two imaginary street vendors agreed, at dusk, admiring the sunset together, to entrust us with one of their best recipes.
Recipe of the famous Orange, Banana, Pomegranate Smoothie from Samir and Amine.
Mix in a blender an orange, a banana and half a pomegranate. Add two or three mint leaves at the time of tasting.
Enjoy by closing your eyes and imagining the coming and going of the boats on the waterfront, distinguish in the sound of the waves, the cry of the seagulls dancing in front of the Island in the distance, admire the sunset.
